Process integration is used to analyze plant energy flows (hot and cold currents) in order to identify and optimize heat exchanges, with a focus on minimizing steam and cooling requirements. We perform a pinch analysis to spot potential connections between hot and cold currents in manufacturing processes.

This method bases itself on a comprehensive vision of the plant’s energy use instead of considering processes and utilities individually.
